Spark Control

Spark Control

Control your LED truck from your phone

Spark makes it easy to control your videotruck from anywhere. With Spark Control on your iPhone or Android device, you can manage all on-screen content, add and remove images, change sources, adjust brightness and sound — even if the truck is turned off.

Spark Control can operate one or many Spark LED videotrucks from the same app.

Take advantage Saved Layouts for quick reconfigurations. You create totally different content layouts for special events or different schedules.

For example, you may create a “Weekend Event” layout that shows live football on both sides of the truck while showing a looping playlist of sponsor ads on the back. But you might also want a “Mon-Friday Ads” layout that shows a different playlist of ads on each side, mixed in with live hourly weather updates. You can totally reconfigure the truck with a single click of a Saved Layout.

Inside your Spark videotruck, a Windows computer runs Spark Player software, communicating with Spark Control over a 5G cellular internet connection. Spark Player transfers your preferences from Spark Control and saves them to the system in the truck. If you ever lose connectivity, the display on all the truck’s LED displays will continue uninterrupted.

Here’s some of what you can do with Spark Control on the phone in your pocket:

  • You can turn on the truck’s power system and start the ads while you’re sitting in a coffee shop across town.
  • Divide each side of the truck into multiple content zones.
  • Show something different on each side of the truck, or duplicate what’s showing on two or more screens.
  • Display live data feeds to show live sports scores, news headlines, or local weather.
  • Create unlimited ad playlists, mixing still images, video clips, and live data feeds.
  • Adjust the on-screen time of each ad individually (from 1 second to infinity).
  • Adjust the automatic brightness sensor levels or override auto-brightness and control brightness manually.
  • Stand 200 feet away from the truck at a live event, and adjust the sound volume while standing in the middle of a loud crowd.
  • Switch from ad playlists to live streaming video or external HDMI devices (game consoles, satellite TV, etc)

Playlist Manager

Spark Control features an integrated content mangement system. You can create ad playlists (still images or video clips). Show a different playlist on each LED screen, or duplicate any of the playlists to multiple screens.

Upload content from your phone, tablet, or laptop in just seconds.

Video Processor

The companion Spark Player software (in the truck) has a built-in 4K resolution video processor. This is essential if you want to add external sources like satellite TV, 3rd party media players, streaming media boxes, game consoles, or cameras.

HDMI inputs are available to connect video devices. Divide the truck screens into different content zones and Spark Player automatically scales the HDMI input to match the size and shape of each area.

HDMI Matrix Switcher

Matrix switching allows you to route the video content from any external device to any or all of the truck’s LED screens.

It improves on external switchers by adding the ability to display any standard Windows program alongside external video sources. And unlike hardware-based switchers, there are no tangled mess of cables to troubleshoot.

Live Content Feeds

Spark Player integrates with content feed providers like ScreenFeed. You can show live news headlines, 5-hour local weather forecasts, and up-to-the-minute sports scores mixed in with your sponsor ads in Spark playlists.

Viewers find the content feed highly engaging, and it causes them to continue watching your advertising messages much longer than if you only show a playlist of ads without the live data feed.

Audio Mixer

A pro audio mixer combines sound from external devices and adjusts sound levels.

Spark includes a built-in multi-channel audio mixer. You can play different audio on each side of the truck or play music from your phone over the truck’s sound system. It even lets you mix in microphone input for live events.

Auto Brightness

All Spark trucks have automatic brightness adjustment. They are very bright in sunny conditions but automatically dim to a lower level at night. However, there may be times when you may want to override the sensor and set the brightness manually

Spark communicates directly with the LED hardware, giving you a simple on-screen brightness control.

Wireless Microphone

Spark is especially good at event marketing, including controlling a wireless microphone system.

Turn on the audio-ducking feature. The next time you key the microphone, The Spark software will automatically lower the sound level of any audio playing on the truck, letting the person with the microphone have all the attention.

LED Display Controller

You may need to reconfigure the LED screens for an event. With any other system, you must connect a Windows laptop and use special LED configuration software. Not anymore.

The Spark software system is programmed with direct access to the LED controller APIs, which lets us create and save custom LED configurations into preset memory locations. With one tap of a preset, you can reconfigure the entire truck screen layout.

One Power Cord

If you tried to add all these capabilities to an LED display system without Spark Control & Spark Player, you’d need an equipment rack full of ten or more dedicated components. Each of those black boxes would have its own power adapter, and you’d need to add a 16-port power distribution unit to your rack to manage the maze of cables.

Spark’s PC unit only has one power cord.
